Our Music

        The musicians in this group are all very comfortable playing the New Orleans style of jazz, the sounds associated with musical legends like Louis Armstrong, Pete Fountain, and Sidney Bechet. We also love playing more modern styles of music associated with New Orleans, like the songs popularized by Louis Prima, Fats Domino, and Professor Longhair. We have been known to venture into earlier styles of music, like Ragtime classics by Scott Joplin, and newer genres like country, zydeco, and boogie-woogie. 

      Our job is to have fun and entertain. Our show is improvised, interactive, and unpredictable. As freelance musicians, we are comfortable playing for crowds of all ages and backgrounds. We are used to taking requests and love the challenges that come with being musically flexible. 

            At the end of the day, we are all New Orleans musicians and whatever we play is going to have those unmistakable rhythms, that loose tightness, and that unmistakable groove that make New Orleans a place where people go in search of good music. 

         Our first CD has just been released. "Port of New Orleans" is filled with songs inspired by the river and the city. We hope you will give it a listen and enjoy!
